The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is home to a broad range of fields and research that connect back to four larger branches of study known as disciplines. Disciplines, or schools of thought, help organize the fields of study and broadly shape and define research goals and methods.

In LAS, the disciplines include the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Studies.
